Derrick's Experience

After graduating in 2007 with a Professional Diploma in IT (Software Engineering), I spent the last years working both as a software; web developer and designer and as part of a team in various companies across Accra, Kumasi, Berlin and Hamburg. I acquired project and time management skills, as well as the ability to communicate with team members and clients while effectively meeting milestones and deadlines. As a systems developer and programmer I collaborated with several developers and designers in Berlin and Hamburg, at the same time supporting clients in Ghana, USA and other parts of Germany. I have worked on a multitude of web and desktop based projects for a range of clients providing Web Design and Development (WinDev, WebDev, PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, WordPress, PrestaShop, Bootstrap, Responsive Layouts), eCommerce Solutions, Corporate Branding and Graphic Design. During my work with Adom dbSystems Ltd. I studied more in project specifics, and therefore have a keen understanding of educational structures, financial accounting and user experience design which I put to good use on every project I work on.  I am currently working in Hamburg, Germany.
